The buzz is already started ahead of IPL 2020 auction. As noted the VIVO IPL 2020 Player Auction will take place in Kolkata on 19th December, 2019. Today was the deadline for eight franchises to extend their player Contracts, 127 players, including 35 overseas cricketers were retain by franchises.

Regarding the remaining Amount For Each IPL Team, Kings XI Punjab has the highest salary cap INR 42.70 cr while Kolkata Knight Riders have the highest salary cap INR 35.65 cr and Rajasthan Royals at INR 28.90 cr.

As noted many trades that took place between the franchises, Ravichandran Ashwin transferred from KXIP to Delhi Capitals whereas Ajinkya Rahane transferred from Rajasthan Royals to Delhi Capitals.

1. Mumbai Indians:

Players released (7): Yuvraj Singh, Evin Lewis, Adam Milne, Barinder Sran, Ben Cutting, Jason Behrendorff and Pankaj Jaiswal.

Retained players: Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Dhawal Kulkarni (Traded in), Jasprit Bumrah, Krunal Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Surya Kumar Yadav, Rahul Chahar, Anmolpreet Singh, Aditya Tare, Anukul Roy, Quinton de Kock, Kieron Pollard, Lasith Malinga, Mitchell McClenaghan, and Jayant Yadav.

2. Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Players released (11): Dale Steyn, Marcus Stoinis, Shimron Hetymer, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Tim Southee, Colin De Grandhomme, Prayas Ray Barman, Kulwant Khejroliya, Himmat Singh, Heinrich Klaasen, Milind Kumar, and Akshdeep Nath.

3. Rajasthan Royals:

Players released (11): Stuart Binny, Oshane Thomas, Prashant Chopra, Ashton Turner, Ish Sodhi, Aryaman Birla, Jaydev Unadkat, Rahul Tripathi, Liam Livingstone, Sudheshan Midhun and Shubham Ranjane.

4. Kolkata Knight Riders:

Players released (10): Robin Uthappa, Chris Lynn, Piyush Chawla, Joe Denly, KC Cariappa, Matthew Kelly, Nikhil Naik, Shrikant Mundhe, Yarra Prithviraj and Carlos Brathwaite.

5. Delhi Capitals:

Players released (5): Chris Morris, Colin Ingram, Hanuma Vihari, Colin Munro, and Ankush Bains.

Players retained: Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Kagiso Rabada, Rishabh Pant, Amit Mishra, Avesh Khan, Sandeep Lamichhane, Keemo Paul, Axar Patel, Ishant Sharma, and Harshal Patel.

6. Chennai Super Kings:

Players released (5): Mohit Sharma, David Willey, Dhruv Shorey, Sam Billings, and Chaitanya Bishnoi.

7. Kings XI Punjab:

Players released (4): David Miller, Sam Curran, Andrew Tye, and Varun Chakravarthy.

8. Sunrisers Hyderabad:

Players released (5): Shakib Al Hasan (suspended from cricket), Deepak Hooda, Ricky Bhui, Martin Guptill, and Yusuf Pathan.
