Khabib Next Fight

Today, UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov indicates that he wants a better opponent for the next fight in Russia.

A few days back senior Nurmagomedov stated that Khabib’s next fight will be against Conor McGregor but, it seems like Khabib have some different plans.

“I have to say that Tony Ferguson deserves it more. You have to give him credit,” Khabib Nurmagomedov stated. “He is on a 12-fight win streak and he deserves it more than Conor,” Khabib added. “Conor has to come back (and) stop hitting old people. He is a professional fighter. He should come back, win, earn his place and get in line.”

Khabib’ Dad Statement

Khabib’s father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov stated on the YouTube channel that Conor McGregor vs Khabib rematch may happen on Russian soil, in Moscow.

“If Conor McGregor wants it, then Moscow is waiting for him. He said once that he has more fans here than Khabib,” Khabib’s father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov said. “We want to host him in Moscow, he is welcome – we are waiting.”

Now, when will Tony Ferguson gets a chance? Ferguson has a long 12 match winning streak. He is a deserving opponent. Also, Khabib said that his next fight will be against either with Tony Ferguson or GSP. However, Khabib’s father admitted that Tony Ferguson is a deserving opponent.

“But before McGregor, we should finish our business with Ferguson. Because he had 28 fights, and runs a 12-fight winning streak in the UFC, just like Khabib,” Khabib’ dad added. “Such winning streaks and such big fights have never happened in the UFC.

“So I think Madison Square Garden is a good place for this fight, but we won’t fight earlier than March.”

Conor McGregor wants a rematch in Russia

Seems like Conor McGregor vs Khabib rematch may happen in Russia, Moscow. For those who don’t know, Conor McGregor makes a statement after Khabib Nurmagomedov beats Dustin Poirier at UFC 242. McGregor demands he wants a rematch in Moscow.

Conor McGregor vs Khabib first fight

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor fight was held on October 6, 2018, at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, part of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area in UFC 229.

For those who are unaware, It also drew controversy for a post-fight brawl that broke out between the Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor teams. As noted UFC 229 set the record for the highest MMA pay-per-view buys and the largest live gate in Nevada.

The event was headlined by a UFC Lightweight Championship bout between the undefeated current champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and former featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor. At UFC 229, Khabib Nurmagomedov (c) def. Conor McGregor by Submission (neck crank) at Round number 4 in 3:03s.

The brawl that broke out between the Khabib and McGregor teams. the NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission) announced a nine-month suspension for Nurmagomedov and a $500,000 fine. Also, Conor McGregor was suspended for six months and given a $50,000 fine.

Khabib Nurmagomedov clarify his actions at the post-fight interview and apologized to the NSAC and stated he was provoked by the Conor McGregor team’s trash-talk targeting his family, nation, and religion.


In addition, Conor McGregor marked a one-year anniversary. McGregor posted an anniversary message on Twitter, “Fuck an 8 count let’s dance baby #1yearago #moscow #shitinthebus #runningandshittingatthesametime.”
